The bookshop was set up in 1985 by Michael Herron. It had it's first home in Carnfair Arcade, many years later moving behind the Court House in Pound Street and now it's latest (and final!) lovely new premises in Mart Road.

Michael began by focusing on modern first editions of which he was a collector himself and gradually building up a large quality stock with an especailly good Irish interest section. Almost all genres are covered in the shop
with around 40,000 books to choose from.
