More than any other figure in Inishowen Dinny Mc Laughlin was responsible for the continuing existence of a strong vein of Irish music and dance in the peninsula. Throughout the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's Dinny taught and inspired many prominet musicians like Kieran Tourish (aileach) and the author herself Liz Doherty. He was also responsible for training more All Ireland Irish Dancers than any other teacher in the history of the competition. His enthusiasm and love of the Irish culture is captured in these memoirs, making this a must for anyone with even a passing interest in Irish culture.
